[00:00:00] Speaker A: Okay. Welcome back. We're back to the she Said podcast. [00:00:04] Speaker B: In the new year. [00:00:05] Speaker A: 37 or 38. Yeah, shoot, 38. [00:00:09] Speaker B: I was impressed by that number because you said we started in March. [00:00:12] Speaker A: March 17th. [00:00:14] Speaker B: So we really pretty much stuck to it. I mean we've not missed very much. It was nice having Christmas and New Year's off. Catch up, you know, on life. But we're sticking to it. [00:00:25] Speaker A: Yeah, it's fun and we have a lot of listeners too. That's. I think that's the what keeps us motivated so many people list and then tell us. [00:00:32] Speaker B: I like that. [00:00:33] Speaker A: How much they like it and how much learned. Well, that's true. Although I think I just. I was running like a crazy person. I think I stayed busy on purpose, but I don't feel like I had much downtime at all. Yeah, I'm, you know, you're always on. [00:00:46] Speaker B: Well yeah, I'm always on call, especially. [00:00:48] Speaker A: Looking up kids there. [00:00:49] Speaker B: And I am always looking at stuff and wanting something new and ordering stuff. [00:00:54] Speaker A: Yeah, constantly. It's ridiculous. [00:00:56] Speaker B: So I did make your Hawaiian roll. Grilled cheese. [00:01:00] Speaker A: Oh yeah. [00:01:00] Speaker B: And that was an absolute hit. They all walked in completely blown. I mean they didn't know what had hit them really. So my next is to make cinnamon rolls with Hawaiian rolls. [00:01:13] Speaker A: Oh, I bet that would be good. [00:01:14] Speaker B: Yeah. So there's recipes all over online, is there? Yes. So it's a whole thing. So we're gonna do that next. [00:01:21] Speaker A: I saw in the grocery store the Valentine Little Debbie cakes are out. And I laughed and I wondered is the Valentine cake? [00:01:29] Speaker B: Yep, I'll take it. [00:01:30] Speaker A: Same as the Christmas cookie or Christmas cake or whatever that is. [00:01:34] Speaker B: Yeah, I'll test and find out to make sure. How about that? [00:01:37] Speaker A: You try it and see. That's so funny. [00:01:40] Speaker B: Never going to get you to do it. [00:01:41] Speaker A: I'm never going to look at Little Debbie displays ever the same again after. [00:01:46] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:01:46] Speaker A: Hearing about things because I would never even like I passed by Little Debbie. I would never imagine buying it or that it would be good. So it makes me brought you a. [00:01:55] Speaker B: Box so that you would gift it back to me. [00:02:00] Speaker A: Right back to you. [00:02:02] Speaker B: Uh huh. So speaking of gifts, first of all, I don't know like I know some people you get into especially when it comes to kids. You buy too many gifts because the guilt. But we'll wrap even cereal like that's just kind of a their favorite cereal that we wouldn't normally buy. My kids just like to unwrap like it just makes them happy and we do it one at a time. So every summer, I mean, every Christmas, I come up with a new code system that cannot be broken. Like, I have to actually have my notebook that has the number that's going to go with what kid? It's a complete scramble. But this way, Christmas goes on for a while because they like that. And we always have watched each other open presents one at a time. Even with my mom and dad, when we had six kids, we all watched one at a time. Yeah, that's very good. And you really got to see and appreciate what you received or gave. So. But the. But I kind of, over the past few years have come up with. If they haven't looked for or touched their gift, one of their gifts within, you know, three days to a week, it's going back. Like, there's no reason to have it just means it was. It didn't hit home with them. It just is a waste. And kind of the same for me. I mean, if it's. I'm not using it in that amount of time, it's going. It's going back to the store, and then I get the credits. [00:03:20] Speaker A: Yeah, I've gotten better at that, too. Where I don't. If I'm not using it. Like, you get it and you think you're gonna. [00:03:27] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:03:27] Speaker A: Use it, and then you don't. It's like, okay, I still have time to return. I'm returning it. This is ridiculous to just be sitting here. [00:03:34] Speaker B: It is true. What else have you done? What have you done? Over. I sound like a smoker this morning. Hey, do you hear that? No. Yeah, I've got this raspy voice. So anyway. Oh, no. [00:03:44] Speaker A: Christmas was, you know, the worst day of my life. [00:03:47] Speaker B: But it was hard. [00:03:48] Speaker A: Yeah. Oh, yeah, it was hard. It was just hard. [00:03:51] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:03:52] Speaker A: There was nothing fun about it. And my dad was really sad, and it was just him and I. [00:03:58] Speaker B: You know, I want to say that part gets better, but I really don't know that it does. I'm sure it doesn't. This is when I always post a lot of memories of my parents, because we did. Like, the day I buried my mom was the same day that my dad had passed away, you know, prior to her, obviously. But her funeral was the same day that my dad died, so it's a whole thing. And I still haven't gone to the funeral or to the cemetery. It'll happen. We all grieve differently, so we'll get there. [00:04:23] Speaker A: Well, it's funny because my dad and I hadn't either. And we took our ashes out there, but we didn't we haven't been back since they got the plaque and stuff. I don't remember the timeline. A couple days after Christmas. It was Saturday after Christmas. My dad, you know, we have live360, so I can see him. And he was. He went out for a drive, which I always know that he's having a hard day when he goes out for a drive because he just needs to get out of the house. So I'm following him as he's driving. He drives all over. I'm like, and where is he going? But he was just out driving, driving. And then I see him heading towards Fort Gibson, and I thought he did it. Please tell me he's not going over there. And that's exactly. He did it. And I have never cried harder than me sitting at my house, knowing where he is and what he's doing and what it took for him to get there. It was the. I think I cried harder that day than I did the day she passed away, because I just. I was sad that she's gone. I was sad for him because that's just a. Mm. Yeah. And so I was like. And he. And he said, I. I ended up at Fort Gibson at the cemetery. I said, I saw that, dad. And that's all we said about it. I didn't want to go into detail. No, it was hard, but, yeah, it was. [00:05:38] Speaker B: That was another step for him. Another healing. [00:05:40] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:05:41] Speaker B: Step per se. [00:05:42] Speaker A: But weird holiday, let me tell you. I was glad it was over, to be honest. [00:05:48] Speaker B: Yeah, I know. It's time to get on. Have you taken your Christmas decorations? [00:05:51] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, I did. [00:05:52] Speaker B: Wow. I didn't even touch it, really. [00:05:55] Speaker A: I did it the weekend after. I meant it this past weekend. [00:05:58] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:05:59] Speaker A: I always wait till New Year's, but I got. I had to get it down. I was sad to take it down because I loved it so much and I loved the light and brightness, but I was. [00:06:10] Speaker B: Time to get it down. [00:06:11] Speaker A: Yeah. And one of those where I hate the in between. Like some people said, well, keep up all your. Since it's a winter theme anyway, take down the obvious Christmas. [00:06:20] Speaker B: Right. [00:06:20] Speaker A: And leave the. And I'm like, I can't be half and half. Like, it's got to all be put away when it. It's just everything everywhere. [00:06:28] Speaker B: Speaking of gifts, one last thing. Apparently there's been a problem with Amazon sending your packages. And I know that I've seen this white sticker with a barcode on step. An LPN number. It's. What? It's an. It'll say lpn. And then a big long number. Well, I had done a couple of those like car vacuums for dirty Santa gift. And my sister in law called me last night or sent me a message because I took her the box straight from Amazon. Like I didn't even bother opening the box. And she was like, hey, I just want to let you know that the vacuum they sent was full of like animal hair and it totally stunk. Yes. I was so embarrassed. I mean, she understood. I ordered a new one and she's sending that one back. So people need to watch. If there is that white LPN barcode, it has been either used or sent back. Now I know that I've sent plenty of things back that I never even opened the package. Oh yeah, I just, I knew it wasn't going to work. But I guess in that case and because there's a whole thing on it on Tik Tok where people are showing things like underwear has come back. Can you imagine? [00:07:37] Speaker A: No. [00:07:37] Speaker B: I know. [00:07:38] Speaker A: So you know sometimes when you order on Amazon, you see where it says use you can. Yeah, but you have an option. But I didn't know they just automatically sent you. [00:07:46] Speaker B: They're automatically doing it. So people need to check it out. [00:07:49] Speaker A: There's a store here in Tulsa out by Woodland Hills Mall that is just truly an Amazon return store that's just, you can get like deep, deep discounts. [00:07:58] Speaker B: Tulsa Hills. No, there's the bin store. Oh, you're talking about the bin store. And I have been there and I'm telling you there are some good deals sometimes, but it's a little overwhelming for me because I don't like crowd surfing. But they have had some really good deals there that I've never been. [00:08:17] Speaker A: But I've heard there's some great deals. But that makes the most sense. Let you go and buy something that you know has been returned. [00:08:22] Speaker B: Well, I got a new tea kettle, electric glass key kettle there. And I got it for $5. It was brand new in the box, never been opened. Five bucks. So it is worth going. But you got to go take a Valium before you go. [00:08:36] Speaker A: I don't do shopping like that either. [00:08:38] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm not even a big fan of like going to, you know, big stores like Dillards and stuff. It's too overwhelming. [00:08:43] Speaker A: Well, that new, the way they changed the dealers at 41st where it's like a. [00:08:47] Speaker B: Is it even open? I never see cars there. Okay. [00:08:50] Speaker A: But it's one of those where it's just, they get all the leftovers from all the other stor and I've never gone in there because it's just like bins of things. [00:08:59] Speaker B: It's too much for me. [00:09:00] Speaker A: I'm like, no, I wanna. My purse is hanging on a rack. I don't want to dig through a bin of. [00:09:06] Speaker B: No, it's too much. [00:09:08] Speaker A: Everything imaginable. [00:09:09] Speaker B: When we were here last time, did we talk about the. That diamond art? [00:09:13] Speaker A: Yes. [00:09:14] Speaker B: Okay, got it. We kind of missed that over Christmas, so. And I gave one of my mother in law and it's fun. Yeah, it's a good time killer. No matter what. [00:09:22] Speaker A: It's kind of like the same concept of a jigsaw puzzle. [00:09:25] Speaker B: Yeah. Except for it takes less space and it's more, I'd say kind of portable. But that's like fun to do. [00:09:31] Speaker A: Have you done the paint by numbers? [00:09:33] Speaker B: I actually bought one for us to work on at home. I'm like, we just got to have start having things like this laying out where they'll bring us together as a family. [00:09:41] Speaker A: A couple years ago, sent me my picture of my head painted that I did with my. [00:09:47] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:09:47] Speaker A: Oh, you can send your own pictures. And it came back as a paint by number. [00:09:51] Speaker B: Okay. That would be really neat. That's a fun gift. [00:09:53] Speaker A: Yeah, it was really cool. I haven't done it yet, but I. Because I don't have a. Like I want a place to put it to do it work on it. But I was. Then I'm like, oh man, I need to turn my sunroom into an art studio. And I can because I loved. I've done one myself. That was a flower, a full on bouquet that I. It was actually really fun. And when you're doing it, you're like, okay, this is a disaster. I'm not good at this sun. It's so pretty. [00:10:18] Speaker B: Yep. [00:10:18] Speaker A: So I'm anxious to do. Except I don't know if I want to paint my face. I'm not sure if life size of my bald head is gonna be fun to paint. But it was a great. [00:10:27] Speaker B: All the colors on there though. That'd be good. Yeah, that's a great idea. [00:10:30] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:10:30] Speaker B: My brother in law always gives like a gift through puzzles of the kids. Kind of like a history of the kids and like it's a really. It's a great idea. I think he does them through Shutterfly, but it's always fun to get that would do that. [00:10:43] Speaker A: So that is a fun gift. [00:10:44] Speaker B: Did you gift yourself anything? [00:10:46] Speaker A: No, I think as I gifted. [00:10:48] Speaker B: Because you do it all year long. Yeah. [00:10:50] Speaker A: But I did buy some new. That company called Crucial4, which is where I get my M salt, my mineral salt. They had a new thing and we kind of talked about all the ozone stuff. I'm kind of fascinated with that now. That's kind of like the thing that everybody's doing. And they have an ozone healing cream that's got ozone in it. It's olive oil and ozone and it's. You have to keep it refrigerated. So it's hard packed and it smells like if you're ever in the mountains and you walk out and you know it's going to rain, you can smell the rain. That, that just that atmospheric. It smells so interesting. And every time I use it, I'm like. I mean, I've been doing it under my eyes. [00:11:35] Speaker B: Yeah, your face looks good. [00:11:37] Speaker A: Thank you. Well, they have a thing called pearl powder powder, which is made out of crushed pearls. And I've been mixing that with my castor oil and putting that on my eyes at night. And I just. I mean, your skin just feels like. [00:11:50] Speaker B: And what's the name of that company? [00:11:52] Speaker A: Crucial for Crucial Four. And they have a hot chocolate that's like no sugar, you mix with milk. And it's so good. I mean, I've just ordered a bunch of stuff, just trying different things. But that ozone cream, it's a healing cream, man. The smell of it, it's a. Sometimes it's like overwhelming because like you like. I put it on this morning and I can do that and I can smell it. Like it stays on your skin forever. [00:12:18] Speaker B: I have an ozone machine and it, it can be. Well, you're not even supposed to be in the house when you do it, but like when you walk in afterwards or something, I definitely smell. It's a little pungent. If it's really strong, it's. [00:12:30] Speaker A: So that ozone stuff is really fascinating to me. It's like the whole hyperbaric and all that oxygen. [00:12:37] Speaker B: And I think medicine is just moving forward so much. When the holistic. It's crazy area that, I mean, people have. I don't know if 2020 backfired. The 2020 agenda backfired, but I think it really opened a lot of people's eyes. So I never thought I'd see the day where they back down the vaccine requirements, what to 11? [00:13:03] Speaker A: It's crazy. [00:13:04] Speaker B: Yeah, it really puts it into perspective when you see that little picture where they show the baby laying there and it has all these needles. Literally. Have you seen that picture? And it just shows all these needles going across a baby and you're like golly crazy so much. Yeah. [00:13:20] Speaker A: I'm anxious to see what happens in that medical field and with insurance and all the things going forward because it's changing pretty rapidly. [00:13:28] Speaker B: Yeah. I mean, they're so big on being rich. I mean, it. I don't know. We'll see. Yeah, It'd be really interesting to find out. [00:13:36] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:13:36] Speaker B: Have you seen all the hype about. Well, I say hype. I want nothing to do with it. So just everybody who hears this, this is nowhere am I even dipping my toe in it. But I was shocked to see this new Innotox method. It's I n n o t o X. And people have apparently found a way to get some kind of Korean Botox, kind of like the whole peptide situation. But they are literally learning how to inject their own faces. And I am like, you guys are. I don't mean to insult anybody out there. There is absolutely no way I would jack around with that. I mean, it's crazy. So put in Innotox on tick tock or whatever and you are going to be blown away at the people who are doing it. [00:14:30] Speaker A: The access to some of this stuff is a little crazy. [00:14:33] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:14:34] Speaker A: I do know, like, I think we talked about the peptide people that are selling it that says for research purposes only, which means it's not for human consumption, which means you shouldn't be injecting it. All got letters from the FDA saying stop. [00:14:47] Speaker B: Oh, really? Yeah. [00:14:48] Speaker A: So I'll be anxious to see what happens to those companies and why somebody would inject something into their stomach that says for not for human use is beyond me. But the access is crazy. So I'll be anxious to see what all. How that all shakes out. Yeah, that's, that's kind of nuts. [00:15:04] Speaker B: Yeah, you'll, you'll, you'll be shocked. [00:15:07] Speaker A: I don't think that's for me ever, so. [00:15:10] Speaker B: Well, my favorite gift was, well, a red light mask. However, I think, you know, because I've got lots of different red lights. I keep one kind of in front of my bathroom sink where I'll put it on. It's kind of a panel and that way I'm trying to hit my legs with it in my knee, which, I mean, I would say overall my knee is doing pretty well. But I am going to. I got the mask, but I really think I already have what I need to do my face and I don't need the mask. So I'm gonna get the whole body matte, like from head to toe. And I am so excited about getting that. Even this morning I put on my back the back one that I have that kind of. It's a body wrap. You can wrap it on your knee, you can wrap it on your stomach. And I can absolutely tell a difference after a week of using it religiously that I. I see a skin texture difference on my chest and on my stomach. [00:16:03] Speaker A: Man, I believe in that red light so much. I've kind of added that to my sleep routine where at night I've got a great routine going probably for the past month. And I've really gotten. I mean, I'm in the 90s some night with my sleep score, which is unheard of. [00:16:17] Speaker B: That's crazy. [00:16:18] Speaker A: Seven and a half, eight hours of sleep. But I lay the red light. I've got one of those long. Like a heating pad. [00:16:24] Speaker B: Yes. [00:16:25] Speaker A: The long red light. I lay it across my stomach and over my hips, you know. Because you always wake up with your hips killing you. Yes, I lay it across my hips. I turned it on for 70 minutes. I mean, it helps me go to sleep so quickly. And I, Even the other night thought, okay, I don't think that's really doing it. I'm going to not. You do it tonight and see what happens. Within 10 minutes I was up putting that on my hips. [00:16:47] Speaker B: I. I did the same thing this morning because I. I was achy on my low back on my hip. My hip. And that's actually what got me moving was. And that was only 10 minutes, so. And it'll take away. You know, my knees are not perfect. But last night before I went to bed, I had it wrapped around my knee and it took my mind off of it. [00:17:07] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:17:08] Speaker B: So there's something to it. I would love to have the whole bed, you know. [00:17:13] Speaker A: Oh, me too. [00:17:14] Speaker B: The whole wrapping. But I'm going to start with the whole. At least one side full body length. [00:17:19] Speaker A: Yeah. So. And just lay on it. Because I do. I would love to climb in one of those. [00:17:25] Speaker B: Well, like, I've seen pictures of like where you can still. You can put it on your couch and if your family's gonna watch movies, you can all still have your back against it and do red. There's really a lot of ways to incorporate it into your life. You just don't think about it. But the portable ones that you can plug into a charger is great because I definitely take that in the car with me. Yeah. You know, I got that portable TENS unit because I still can't figure out why my car triggers sciatic pain. It is the weirdest. There's something to do with my seat that it triggers it in my leg. It's the only time I. I don't know. But I got that little portable tinge unit and it's good. It. I mean, it does the job. [00:18:01] Speaker A: I like those things. Go to a chiropractor or something, put that on. [00:18:04] Speaker B: And it's only like 50 or 60 bucks. But it's helpful because we went hiking the other day and I was like, okay, I gotta take a lidocaine patch in my tens unit and that'll get me through if I have a flare up. But I was fine. Surprisingly. [00:18:20] Speaker A: You know, I said to somebody the other day that with all the peptides I take and all the stuff I'm doing for my health, I feel better today than I have since before I was growing a tumor and going through tumor. [00:18:34] Speaker B: That's crazy. [00:18:34] Speaker A: I mean, I really truly. I mean, I'm on my ninth year, so it wasn't, it wasn't overnight. But I'm telling you, I've done enough stuff. And with the way I'm taking care of myself and eating and the peptides and all the things, I actually feel for the first time I don't have achy joints. [00:18:51] Speaker B: Awesome. [00:18:52] Speaker A: Really. I mean, I did. I put down all my Christmas decorations, which is five Christmas trees, and all this stuff over the weekend. Didn't even. [00:19:01] Speaker B: Isn't that crazy? Yeah. [00:19:02] Speaker A: So finally, like there are things out there naturally that you can do that actually. [00:19:06] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. And without a doubt, differences without bcp and every time I have done my tapering off or whatever, I can totally tell that I don't feel as great. There's a lot of. There's. There's a lot out there that you don't always have to just turn to. [00:19:23] Speaker A: Well, yeah, I don't take any medication. Nothing. It's all supplements. [00:19:29] Speaker B: And Yeah, I think I worked for supplements. [00:19:33] Speaker A: I do too. And I literally like not. I could think about how for years I didn't take them, but now, I mean, I take. I don't even know now a day how many I take. [00:19:43] Speaker B: But it sure helps, you know, all those oils that I take from Get Blessed botanicals. I mean, I have so many of the little brown glass bottles and I hate to get rid of them because I'm like, oh, those are really good for something because they have the droppers. Well, I'm gonna buy a little spray, little spray adapters for them because they say that there are studies. I've not personally looked at them, but they've talked about their studies out there that show if you spray your body with green Tea. And you can make your own green tea extract. Put it in this little jar. You're going to want to keep it refrigerated. And it's only going to be good for, you know, two to three days. But if you spray your body, they say that is equivalent to doing one. One month of doing that is like doing 10 months of red light therapy. So if you spray your body with green tea before you red light, the benefits are astounding. [00:20:39] Speaker A: It's interesting. [00:20:40] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:20:40] Speaker A: It's a good idea, though. [00:20:42] Speaker B: Yeah. And you can buy the paper sheet mask and buy these disposable 100 cotton sheet masks and you can soak them in green tea and then put those on your face. [00:20:54] Speaker A: Yeah. Green tea is so good for you. [00:20:56] Speaker B: Yeah. So it's kind of my new little. What can we add to the routine? [00:21:00] Speaker A: You know, I talked about. I just said about. I'm on my ninth year, a few years after I finished chemo. I. There's a local magazine. I can't remember if it's called InStyle or style. So they send it to you and you're. You got it in the mailbox. [00:21:14] Speaker B: Kind of sounds right. [00:21:15] Speaker A: Yeah. They did a story on me because I used boxing to heal from chemo and stuff. And she did a big article on me. And it came out of this time of year, like before the holiday. And I was at a New Year's Eve party downtown and I was at a table with friends and I was just. I was the only one there. They had all gone to get drinks or the bathroom or something. And this girl came over to me and said, I just saw an article about you in a magazine today. And she goes, I'm so excited to actually see you. It's a cool story, you know, you survived. Blah, blah, blah. I ran into somebody this New Year's who recognized me from that article. [00:21:53] Speaker B: And how long ago was that? [00:21:55] Speaker A: Probably two years after I finished. And she was like, oh, my gosh, you're like thriving and surviving. She goes, we've. I've thought about you since I saw the article because it was such a cool article. She goes, I always just hope that, like, you made it. And she said, you're still here. I'm like starting nine years. So it was kind of fun that one magazine, that. A local Tulsa magazine. But I got recognized again from it. [00:22:20] Speaker B: That long afterwards. [00:22:21] Speaker A: Yeah. It's just kind of funny. [00:22:23] Speaker B: It's a good story. They ought to do another one with all of the things that you've done. [00:22:26] Speaker A: Yeah. I don't even know if they're still in business. [00:22:29] Speaker B: I don't know either. I hadn't shown up at my house. [00:22:31] Speaker A: Yeah. I haven't gotten one in a long time in the mail and that's how they always just would send them to people. But I thought that was pretty cool that I still. And that was very good to say I was still here alive. So. [00:22:41] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:22:42] Speaker A: That was kind of exciting. Well, had another seat at the table. My Last one of 20. [00:22:47] Speaker B: 25. Yeah. [00:22:48] Speaker A: The 29th. Same thing happened again. It was. Someone's husband called him because they were wondering where they were. It was almost 11 o' clock because. [00:22:57] Speaker B: It went on for. [00:22:58] Speaker A: Lost track of time. Yeah. Which is what's so fun. And my ebook should be out this week, which I'm really excited about. [00:23:04] Speaker B: Good for you. [00:23:04] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:23:05] Speaker B: Okay. That's all. And what will all that have in there? Just like how to do it. [00:23:09] Speaker A: It's going to be all the steps on how like I. How I pick people. And so there's. There's going to be two options. I'll talk about it more next week. I'll have more of the. The pricing and stuff. But there'll be two options where you get like, just like the basic ebook and then you can actually get like a dinner in a box. [00:23:25] Speaker B: Right. [00:23:26] Speaker A: Where you get like ideas on what to send out for invites and all of it. [00:23:32] Speaker B: Super neat. [00:23:32] Speaker A: Yeah. So I'm pretty excited. It's been fun to work on. I worked on that a lot. Some things accomplished over the holiday. Although I worked the whole time. But I'd still. I'd sit here and work on it. So I'm pretty close. [00:23:45] Speaker B: I'm impressed. [00:23:46] Speaker A: Really excited about it. [00:23:47] Speaker B: Yeah, I'm super. [00:23:48] Speaker A: I have so many. I bet I. I bet I've had 15 people tell me that they're doing the same thing, they're going to start the same thing. But I think the key to it, which is what's in the E book, it's not so much about just inviting friends over. It's about picking the right kind of people that you think are going to work together. [00:24:04] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:24:05] Speaker A: And I think that's what's made it magical is that I've picked the right. And I've spent a lot of time on that. That's where I spend most of my time is figuring out who to bring amazing together. And then it's just to watch it all happen. Like the last three. Wouldn't never have imagined that it would have been gone on like it did. Just. I mean, I think it's going to Work. But, you know, then you look at it, you're like, oh, I don't know. [00:24:30] Speaker B: Well, I noticed you just kind of sit back and you kind of observe. You kind of. You can tell. You're like, oh, oh, I did this. I put together. [00:24:38] Speaker A: I'm always thinking about, like, I'm changing things every single time because, like, I don't do appetizers anymore because the appetizers, no one was eating them. And so there's little things I'm doing differently each time. So I am kind of watching. But it's. It's just been. It's such. It's been so much fun. So I'm anxious to get that out and get it. [00:24:58] Speaker B: Good for you. [00:24:58] Speaker A: So you can actually keep doing it. [00:25:00] Speaker B: It would be a miracle if I hosted a seat on the table. [00:25:04] Speaker A: You should try it. [00:25:05] Speaker B: It's easy. [00:25:08] Speaker A: Well, okay. [00:25:09] Speaker B: I remember you saying something about you had ordered. We're talking about ordering stuff and getting scammed. Yeah. And you got scammed. [00:25:16] Speaker A: Yeah. And I am not. I'm really good about not doing that. And then I did it. And it was in the. About the middle of December. I see this ad on, I think it was Facebook or Instagram, and they had some really cute clothes and it was a really good sale. And the ladies at Chicago boutique, and she's gonna close the boutique down after all these years and stay home with her daughter and sucker me. Yeah. And it looked at the time. I didn't pay and I didn't go look at reviews, which is your number one. [00:25:42] Speaker B: Oh, every time. Yeah, I always do. Blocked. Also in the comments. I go to the comments section and if the comments are either blocked or sent like, it's. That's a dead giveaway. Yeah, it's a Mad people. [00:25:53] Speaker A: Yeah. Well, I ordered. I just got them last night and they are a disaster. I ordered a pair of shoes, and I'm telling you, if I wore them one day, they would be falling. They don't even feel like real material. It's like almost like paper is the craziest, the cheapest. And they came from China, which of course, you don't know that till you. [00:26:15] Speaker B: That's the frustrating part is they come off as US Companies. And that was where I got scammed. It was like this really good American based company giving demonstrations of people because we're at the lake a lot. So I was like, you know, something could happen. A car could go in water and they're like these glass breakers. I'm honestly shocked that I even paid what I paid for him. I'm like, did I do that? Like, what? I had to have been dead asleep because I. I'm more of a. I'll shop around. I know I can get it on Amazon if all else. But I. I knew. No, I thought, I'll support this American U. S. Based company. And I. So I bought four glass breakers. And I mean, it had been a month I hadn't received it, and fortunately I paid through PayPal and I get it and it's all wrapped like it's cocaine coming in the mail. Yeah, it came from China. And I opened up the box, still one of the boxes was squished and. But I pull it out and the sound of the plastic, it truly was something you would get out of a gumball machine. Like, I would never trust it to save my life ever in a million years. So I called PayPal and I actually got refunded the money because I. I mean, I sent pictures and all. I'm like, this is absolute crap. There's no way. This is. Not to mention, it was misleading that it came from the usa. So now I've seen that ad and I've noticed some comments are blocked on their stuff because probably people had ordered it and, you know, same thing. But that's. So, yes, I have asked now. There's been things on order and I've made sure to ask, where does this ship from? Does this come from the USA or does it come. I just want to know up front. I mean, obviously I have things from China, but I want to know up front. I. Getting this quickly or two months from now. [00:27:58] Speaker A: Yeah, I got it. It's been 20 days. [00:28:00] Speaker B: Yeah. That's crazy. [00:28:01] Speaker A: Yeah. And then they tried to deliver on New Year's Day. Well, I have it. Everything shipped to the office, which, of course, the office was not open on New Year's Day. [00:28:10] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:28:10] Speaker A: And so then they finally, last night, late last night, I got it. And it's the worst stuff I've ever seen in my life. And I know better. Like, I'm usually that person that does that where I go and I search and I make sure. And thankfully, I didn't pay that much for stuff, but it's like, unbelievable. And then, of course, I said I want to return it. And then they're trying everything in their power to take it back. But, yes, I will stop payment on the credit card. I will do whatever. [00:28:37] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah, you have to. That's frustrating. [00:28:41] Speaker A: Yeah. Learn my lesson. [00:28:42] Speaker B: Oh, I have not ever ordered anything from Sheen ever. I mean, but I'll see people wearing Stuff. I'm like, that's really cute. Oh, I got it from machine. I don't know why I haven't been brave enough to do it. But oftentimes, even on TikTok Shop, I think I've only bought one thing off Tik Tok Shop, but I always end up going to look for it on Amazon and it's always there. The price is the same. Yes. I'm like, I just want it in my day. I know how the return policy works. Just, I'll get it off Amazon. [00:29:08] Speaker A: I'm always amazed at the Tik Tok Shop people that are promoting stuff on Tik Tok Shop. [00:29:13] Speaker B: Yeah, me too. I mean. Yeah. Well, yeah. I'm not taking advice from you, first of all. [00:29:20] Speaker A: No. And why are you on Tick Tock and promoting stuff from Tick Tock? It makes no sense. [00:29:24] Speaker B: And I guess they're making it. [00:29:25] Speaker A: I. I don't know. [00:29:26] Speaker B: These people. [00:29:28] Speaker A: Speaking of someone that has just blown up because of social media that travel with Livy, which we've talked about. Yes. I saw a podcast with her and those. The things she's posting are reenactments of what really happened. It's not really the client. [00:29:42] Speaker B: Okay, got it. [00:29:43] Speaker A: But then I'm like, so kicking myself a little bit because the stuff she's doing for these rich people. I did it when I worked at TV Guide. That's basically what I spent my day doing. [00:29:53] Speaker B: Yeah. Making sure people were happy. [00:29:55] Speaker A: Why didn't I pursue that piece of the business? And her goal this year is to become a millionaire. Because it's just blown up. [00:30:02] Speaker B: I don't know how she's not already a millionaire. It seems like she would be according to what she travels, like one. [00:30:07] Speaker A: Well, she does because they pay for it. But her, like, she just. She doesn't. She just started at this company. Like, she's new to the company. [00:30:15] Speaker B: How old is she? [00:30:16] Speaker A: 20, 29, 28. [00:30:19] Speaker B: I just. So if it's L, I V, V, I travel with Livy. And she's. It is very interesting because she does reenact. [00:30:28] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:30:28] Speaker B: The actual phone calls with some of these people and doesn't use names, obviously, but it is shocking. [00:30:36] Speaker A: And she just started doing social media, showing what she goes through and doing these reenactments, and it has blown up a million followers and it's just completely blown. She was not expecting that. According to what she said on this podcast. [00:30:51] Speaker B: Probably not. [00:30:52] Speaker A: And. But the thing she has to do for these people, it's outrageous. And I think about, like, the stories of things I had to do for the presidents and the. Whoa. I should have. I was ahead of my time. I mean, the stuff I did. [00:31:06] Speaker B: Yeah. No, it is crazy places to look at that to follow along because it's. Yeah, it's fun to watch. [00:31:12] Speaker A: It's crazy what she has to go through. [00:31:14] Speaker B: I'm like, man, I'm easy. I am so easy. [00:31:18] Speaker A: And the. The people being stuck over in St. Thomas after the Venezuelan thing and her trying to get. People trying to get home. And her trying to get people home. And they're demanding. They. She gets them home. It's like the airspace is shut down. [00:31:33] Speaker B: She. She handles problems very well. She does not let it get. Now granted, again, we're watching a reenactment. A reenactment. [00:31:41] Speaker A: But she still has to be that way. [00:31:44] Speaker B: Yeah, she does. Very good. [00:31:45] Speaker A: I don't think she could stay in business if she didn't stay with what she's getting asked. But you should go watch it because it is actually fascinating how the rich live and how what they expect from people. [00:31:55] Speaker B: Yes. [00:31:56] Speaker A: Because that is not my life. No. [00:31:58] Speaker B: I'm like, I'm really easy. This. I'll. Yeah, give me a beach. I'm good. [00:32:03] Speaker A: I'll just take a guy putting a towel on the. [00:32:05] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:32:06] Speaker A: Lounge chair for me. And I'm good. [00:32:08] Speaker B: Yes. [00:32:08] Speaker A: I don't need any. [00:32:09] Speaker B: So I saw a question online and it said, if you went to school in the 70s or 80s, what is one thing that kids would never believe was real and was really normal in the classroom? And there was a whole bunch of great comments because it was kind of a flashback to what it was. But I thought one of them was funny. It said the cloud of smoke that came from the teacher's lounge. And I do remember, like, the door would open and you would see this smoke in the building and how different it was. Somebody said having to research using actual books and then the cursive Alphabet over the chalkboard. [00:32:46] Speaker A: Oh, yeah. [00:32:46] Speaker B: It's really sad that when you've gone away. [00:32:48] Speaker A: I know. Or like even just writing a paper, you had to use an encyclopedia to get your data. [00:32:54] Speaker B: Well, yeah. And I mean, even, you know, citing back then. They taught you taught us how to cite. I. I really. And I've seen all these things happening with students, the whole AI thing. Like, it's like they're not allowed to use the AI. All this stuff that's available to them to, you know, there's all kinds of ways to trap them, track them and all that. But then teachers can use AI to see if they didn't do something. Right. It just seems like this unfair. I don't know. I feel like either you guys are going to embrace AI and move with it and help them learn how to use it the right way. It just seems bizarre because I think people get slammed for something they didn't do. I mean, think about that sentence. Somebody could get slammed for something they didn't do. Well, like that had never been said. [00:33:41] Speaker A: Right. But what if it. [00:33:42] Speaker B: I put that in a paper and it gets. [00:33:44] Speaker A: That was said by. [00:33:46] Speaker B: I just don't understand it like that. [00:33:47] Speaker A: Yeah. It's going to be interesting now with AI. How the school classroom is going to change. [00:33:53] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:33:53] Speaker A: What's in college? And how about students that take classes online as opposed to going into class? And it's. It's. I think schools are going to change rapidly as all of this changes with AI in the world. [00:34:09] Speaker B: Yep. [00:34:10] Speaker A: But can we just say something about people using Chat GPT to write their stuff for them? [00:34:17] Speaker B: Well, I know. And they don't even know how to edit it. Right. [00:34:21] Speaker A: Put it just like Chat GPT gives it to them. [00:34:24] Speaker B: And can we go through. And you can go through their history and you can tell they were never writers. Like if you were to see like there's somebody in particular. I think, like, I've always been full of words. Like. [00:34:34] Speaker A: Me too. [00:34:35] Speaker B: Writing was my specialties. I really don't depend on it to write. [00:34:39] Speaker A: No. [00:34:39] Speaker B: I mean I'll check in on it once in a while, but it's never. My words are. Are me 98% of the time. [00:34:47] Speaker A: Mine too. [00:34:49] Speaker B: But it is so funny because I'm like, suddenly these people are all wordy and it's like, that was not anything with your past. And then they're. I don't even want to tell what the giveaways are. I'm not even gonna say it on. [00:35:01] Speaker A: No. [00:35:02] Speaker B: I'm not so obvious when it. It's just so obvious. [00:35:05] Speaker A: It's just sad now because it's become very. Well, people don't know how to express themselves behind it. Yeah. [00:35:12] Speaker B: And they don't know how. And that's what does scare me for this next generation is that they really are not going to know how to put anything into words. They're. They're not going to have a grasp of it because they're always going to be looking for it to write their stuff. And really, if you think about like, I think my kids are probably the last of that generation to get through school to know how to really write, read and write without AI. [00:35:34] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:35:35] Speaker B: That's it. Everything else, I mean, that's all they're going to have. They're going to turn to that for everything. [00:35:39] Speaker A: When you think about just even writing, writing with a pen, like, that's even gone away because they're not. What are they doing? They're not ever using a pen. They're not writing checks anymore. It's all online cash. They're typing everything on a phone. Like, where. It's just kind of sad to think about where it's going. [00:35:58] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:35:58] Speaker A: But I did hear that parents are starting to get landlines back in their house. [00:36:03] Speaker B: I've seen that. [00:36:04] Speaker A: For their younger kids that don't want to give them a phone yet because they're too young to be able to talk to their friends when they get home from school, which I think is a. It's interesting to see that it's come full circle. [00:36:14] Speaker B: Yeah. [00:36:14] Speaker A: And going back to a landline. [00:36:15] Speaker B: Well, I even heard, like, old Disney movies that parents are going back to wanting. They're finding old VCRs and they're going back to hunting down the original VHS Disney movies. Cartoons. Before all the extra stuff, all the agendas have been added to. It was just cartoons. Sit back and watch a cartoon. You don't have to worry about the drama going on in the world. But that's all been added. [00:36:41] Speaker A: Yeah. [00:36:41] Speaker B: To the cartoons. I mean, they literally have. And I have the name of the guys. They did a video on him where he's gone in and edited. He was hired to edit videos to change the sky to the way it looks now. Because when we were kids, there were not chemtrails in the sky. If you don't want to believe it, don't believe it. But it. Not you, but anyone who's listening. But they. They weren't around like that. It just. It just wasn't. And so. But they've gone in now to edit these videos to add that to the. To some of the old movies. So if you have VHS movies, I would not be selling them. I would have a VCR and keep them or else they are probably going to be worth more money now. People are wanting to buy them up. [00:37:24] Speaker A: So my parents have a ton of all those old movies from vhs. [00:37:27] Speaker B: Oh, my sister. Yeah. She has so many. So now the trick is to find a VCR that can play them. Huh. [00:37:36] Speaker A: Still around? Yeah. Well, we are way out of time. [00:37:39] Speaker B: Are we really? [00:37:40] Speaker A: It's 40 minutes. [00:37:41] Speaker B: Oh, wow. Okay. Well, we have more to talk about. Yeah. [00:37:45] Speaker A: It's good to be back. [00:37:46] Speaker B: All right, well, we'll see you all next week. [00:37:48] Speaker A: Bye. [00:37:48] Speaker B: Talk to you Time next.
